About Us
3D Records - A Label Built For Rock
3D Records was formed back in 1996 with its original offices at the famed Kendon Recording Complex in Burbank. 3D was born out of an idea as an independent full service record label and management company that was very artist friendly. It's management team has represented groups and artists with over Five Million records sold to date!
3D Records A True Rock Label
3D Backs artist/s and groups with the ability to write and record their own music, perform live and tour. 3D is a home for a select few that have a defined artistic vision of what they think rocks, and combined vision of what we think rocks! We are on track with a very clear mission, "to be a home for rock artists".
Having been in the music business for over twenty years, we have seen a lot of things change in the biz. Starting 3D back in the day, we felt we had a chance as an independent to do something different. Somehow all of the emphasis at the major labels became about short-term, un-realistic expectations, turning over artists if they did not sell what they expected.
Since we are a forward thinking independent label, our expectations are based on the quality and the music of the artist and or group. Usually, the second and third record is sometimes where an act hits it’s stride and comes into it’s own. We are a partner with the group or artist, helping build the bigger picture!
Current & Future Releases

Chopperkings
Album Title: Built To Rock, Built To Roll
Release Date: TBD/Summer 2011
Hailing from Los Angeles, Chopperkings began their career as a bunch of unpretentious guys with affection for Guitars, Hot Rods and Rock and Roll. Their sound has evolved over the years, fattened and filled out, but their core remains simple: a high energy, high octane show with great songs and a loose, anything goes roadhouse like atmosphere.
Chopperkings unique sound, a soulful rock swagger with just a toke of outlaw country, is skillfully showcased on their ambitious, two new albums : Built to Rock and Built to Roll. Together, the two records tell an unvarnished tale of the open road, and what it’s like to live life on the edge, full throttle. “We feel putting one album out without the other would be like telling only half the story of this band,” says Phillips, the groups Lead singer, guitarist and chief songwriter. Built to Rock features gritty, adrenalin fueled ‘ground and pound rockers’ like Hit the Road and No Time to Waste. With raw and powerful guitar riffs, hard driving drums, soulful organ & piano, held together with a “big-bottom rock solid bass”, Built to Rock is pure horsepower. Its companion record, Built to Roll, is by no means soft. Its tough, but with grooving, Rock Blues ballads like Wild & Loose and Can’t Wait this Long, its also sweet and melodic The guitar playing harkens back to early Clapton, Gilmour and Page.
Chopperkings are ready to play their pumped-up brand of Biker Rock and Hot Rod Culture to festivals, theaters and arena-sized audiences across the world. With their deep set lists, the band has been known to muscle through three hours of songs. They feel at home in front of a crowd of people who love music and want to have a great time. Never predictable, their show is part jam, part blues revival and most importantly, all rock.
They love to be on the road, and work hard to bring their fans the best show possible. Even when they are not on the road (or in the recording studio) they are on the road – taking a nice long ride on their own Choppers.

Machineka
Album Title: Peacemaker
Release Date: TBD/Christmas 2011
This hard-hitting album combines orchestral arrangements with an interesting line up of Rocked up baritone guitars, heavily textured and raw at the same time.
The album leans on a heavy backbeat, punctuated by a super dose of melodic bass and Keyboards. It’s a sonic tour de force, of Euro Rock with shades of The Smiths, Led Zeppelin, Bowie and Bjork.
